I think there's an error in terms of the value given(the total no. of beads).Worked out the qn with algebra and models.Both gave the same answer but in a fraction form.So the value in the qn may be wrong.
I also tried with model and algebra but i get fraction

Now u can check your answer;
106-12-6=88
88÷11=8
a)8×2=16
b)(8×7)+6=62
