3/4 of cookies were chocolate. 2/3 of them were sold.

Fraction of cookies sold that were chocolate = 2/3 x 3/4 = 6/12 = 1/2

Question says 1/3 of cookies were left.

So, fraction of cookies sold that were vanilla cookies

= 1 - 1/2 - 1/3 = 6/6 - 3/6 - 2/6
= 1/6

1/6 of cookies = 210

Cookies left = 1/3 of total
= 2/6 of total
= 2 x 1/6 of total
= 2 x 210
= 420
