Ethanol is a liquid in room temperature so answer is B, ethanol also cannot conduct electricity in aqueous or liquid because it is an organic/covalent compound that does not have free electrons/ions arnd

Hi Rou Enn, firstly you will need to understand what kind of compound ethanol is before you can answer this question.

Ethanol is a covalent compound, hence we can deduce that it's MP/BP is relatively low. However, it exists as liquid at room temperature (in alcoholic beverage), so the BP must be higher than 25oC.

Covalent compounds are generally not a very good conductor of electricity in any of its state.

With these you should be able to answer the question. Remember, getting correct is not difficult. You need to understand the concepts before you can answer more questions on your own.
