Because the question never makes you confuse by giving you hr and mins. Both are in hr fractions.
So you can always change to the same denominator, to 15, when you multiply the denominator, you have to multiply the numerator too.
After which, find the difference to get the hour fraction.
7 over 15 hr is the answer.
