One way to do this is to recognise that the procedure is just the reverse mechanism of quadratic equation solving.

The other method is to use the formula for the sum and product of the roots of a quadratic equation. In fact, both methods are more or less the same as the formulae for the sum and product of the roots come from the inspection like the other method.
