But why in the first place is the answer in (a) equal to (6, 6)?

A is not 6,6
But part a has no relation when u do the working for b. So that doesn’t matter. But u sld know it’s coz it’s parallel to the x axis that’s why the y remains constant, but the x increases.
I hope u can see, it’s a bit messy
