let θ = x+π/12
eqn becomes
2cosθ + 3sinθ = 1.8
convert to R formula:
=> Rcos(θ - α) = 1.8

u find R and α first before u continue with Rcos(θ - α) = 1.8

oh coz u must find for 2 quadrants, first one and 4th one since cos is positive. The one u found was probably the first quadrant ..

yeah i found two but only the 1st quadrant answer is correct apparently? i got a 4th quadrant answer too but the textbook said it wasn’t correct :(

did u work in radian, instead of degree?

after u hv gotten the ans for θ, did u continue to find x? (becos we let θ = x+π/12)

the ans shld x , not θ
