trigo, second part ii, honestly don’t get the relation between the triangle and eqn, I looked at the solution frm the tys but it’s all greek

The equation you see is connected to the area of the triangular ground..Well,the purpose of finding the shortest dist is for you to find the area of the two triangles each and combined them to form the total area..Since the total area can be found easily by multiplying 1/2 x3x5..The next step is to piece these info together..There,you'll get the equation...
So,the combined equation(area) of the two triangles is equal to the actual area..
