thank you, why do u reject the larger deter for the qns qns tho?
the larger angle would mean the rod AB rotates and crosses over the wire Oy.
doubt that can happen since B is ringed to wire Ox.

Oh thank you for the clarification :) I have another qns tho, sorry if it’s bothersome, but abt the third qns when cos (deter -22.6) =0 therefore deter =22.6, but isnt cos(deter-22.6) suppsed to be equal to 1 when L is at its maximum? And if it’s equals to one, deter-22.6 should be equal to cos inverse 1 which equates to either 0 or 360 degrees, and I’m confused bc idk which one we’re suppsed to pick?
no worries, glad to help.
and oops! a typo error.
shld be:
cos(θ-22.6°) = 1
=> θ-22.6° = 0°
mathematically,
=> θ-22.6° = 0° or 360°
but again, rod AB cannot cross over Oy,
so if we choose => θ-22.6° = 360°,
θ = 382.6°,
this would mean rod AB crosses over wire Oy one round and back to angle 22.6°. (not happening)
