Let x = 2
Sub x = 2, → expression = 0

By the Factor Theorem, (x - 2) is a factor.

Let x = 3
Sub x = 3, → expression = 0

By the Factor Theorem, (x - 3) is a factor.

Let x = 4
Sub x = 4, → expression = 0

By the Factor Theorem, (x - 4) is a factor.

(x - 3)(x -2)(x - 4) = (x² - 5x + 6)(x - 4)
= x³ - 9x² + 26x - 24

Now 2x⁴ - 19x³ + 61x² - 74x + 24 = 0

Factorise :

(x³ - 9x² + 26x - 24)(2x - 1) = 0

So x = 3 or x = 2 or x = 4 or 2x - 1 = 0

→ or 2x = 1
x = ½
