Option C means your compound is AlF3.
Option D means your compound is PCl3.

PCl3 has a simple molecular structure, and exists as a gas at room temperature.

The bonding in AlF3 is ionic and it exists as a solid at room temperature.

hi sorry but if Q gains an electron (2.7) , the overall charge will be a - , so doesn't it means that P has to be positive in order for them to be a compound ? so P has to lose electrons (2.8.3) lose 3e to become 3+ charge ? thanks ! :)

By saying that, you're assuming the bonding in the compound is ionic. The bonding in PCl3 is covalent. It has a simple covalent/molecular structure. P here means Phosphorus by the way.

oh sorry i guess i had a misconception that all compounds will have 0 overall charge , be it ionic or covalent compounds

Whether covalent or ionic, the compound's overall charge depends on the elements inside. The charge is displayed in the formula.

For example, the carbonate ion (CO3 ²-)

The bonding is covalent but there's an overall charge of 2-

Water (H2O) :

The bonding is covalent but the overall charge is 0.
