Each time you go to the next figure, 10 sticks are added.

Figure 1 = 12 sticks
Figure 2 = 12 + 10 = 22 = 12 + 1 x 10
Figure 3 = 12 + 10 + 10 = 32 = 12 + 2 x 10
Figure 4 = 12 + 10 + 10 + 10 = 42 = 12 + 3 x 10

So for Figure 10 , how many 10s do you need to add to 12 sticks ? And for Figure 100? Use the pattern above to work out the answers

The methods are pretty much the same as your previous qn..This method will help if you were taught in Pri school..:)
