I know the answer is yes but I do not understand why The answer is yes as how can I find the numbers at the top of the tree without finding the other numbers please do explain to me thank you very much!

Notice the lowest number = the sum of 2 and 7.

Notice that the middle number = the sum of the lowest number and 11.

Notice that the top number = sum of middle number and 3.


So top number = middle number + 3
= lowest number + 11 + 3
= 2 + 7 + 11 + 3
= 23.

And that's why you don't actually need to find the other two numbers. The top number is just the sum of all the known numbers below it
