A period is the time taken for the bob to complete one complete oscillation ( X -> Y -> X -> Y' -> X, where Y' is the other extreme on the left). Each transition (X->Y) takes 1.5s meaning that the whole motion takes 1.5x4 = 6s. So in one minute, there would be 60/6 = 10 oscillations.
