How many quarters are there in 1 whole? Ans. 4
Therefore 8.5 wholes has 4x8.5 quarters.
Therefore 8.5 wholes has 4x8.5 quarters.
Change 8 1/2 into improper fraction = 17/2
17/2 divide by 1/4
= 17/2 x 4/1
= 34
17/2 divide by 1/4
= 17/2 x 4/1
= 34
