Draw a model to understand how to do the question.

Step 1: write out multiples of 8
Step 2: from the model, for the same number of students, using the multiple of 8, when I subtract (3+5)=8, I should get a multiple of 7.
Step 3: I found out that for 8 students this works.
Step 4: time to check my answer, check if the number of sweets he has in the box is the same for when he gives out 8 sweets each or 7 sweets each.
