= 16.40
Total = 4u
= 4x16.40
= 65.60

he divided ALL his money into 4 EQUAL parts (or units),
Spent 1 part
And had 3 parts LEFT
So IF the money he had left is say $30, then
3 parts =$30
1part= 30/3 =$10
If he had say 2/5 of his money left,
that means
his total money = 5 parts (or units)
money left =2 parts
Spent = 3 parts <---- 5-2=3
If he SPENDS say 5/7 of his money, that means
Total money = 7 parts (or units)
Spend = 5 parts
Left = 2 parts
