Hint.. 1 to 12 shapes (start with circle) and the pattern repeats itself after that..
Ie 1 2 3 4..... 12
13 14 15 16.... 24
25 26......
So group them in 12s and u will find answer.
Column 6 is 12, 24, 36, 48. Therefore 47 is in column 5.

The first part is very much up to scaling down to where you’d find odd numbers and then using trial and error method to find the position of number 47
The second part is using a trend that you have to observe very carefully. Eitherwise you may use trial and error method but it will take you longer and the question probably requires you to utilise this trend.
