< physic qn > please help me with this question please , I’ve gotten the wrong answer but I still don’t understand why must we use 0.4m as the distance for force F.

That’s because force is relative to the distance from the pivot

F = 10 N is correct. The perpendicular distance from the line of action (or direction) of force F, to the labelled pivot is 0.50 m. Not 0.40 m.
