Area of the 102cm² △
= ½ x rectangle length x △'s vertical height

Area of 90cm² △
= ½ x rectangle length x △'s vertical height

Combined area
= 102cm² + 90cm²
= 192cm²

= ½ x rectangle length x combined vertical height of the two △
= ½ x rectangle length x rectangle breadth

(The sum of their vertical heights is equal to the breadth of the rectangle)

= ½ x area of rectangle.

Area of rectangle = 192cm² x 2
= 384cm²

Shaded area = 384cm² - 192cm² - 114cm²
= 78cm²

Fraction = 78/384
= 13/64
