Where f(x) is increasing, you need to prove that f'(x) > 0. This is because f'(x) is the gradient of the graph, so a positive gradient means that the f(x) graph is increasing.

Then why does the graph on the right looks like this? Isn’t it suppose to be a smiling face? Or is it for E math?
