Not sure how to solve this question. Please advise method

64 + 76 + 84 = 224

224 is the total of 6 cards, where there are two of each type of number card.

This also means 224 is the sum of 2 sets of 3 different number cards.

So 1 set = 224 ÷ 2 = 112

Now we know that the largest card number is 48.

112 - 48 = 64

So the sum of the two smaller cards is 64.

This also tells you that in the two cards that give 84, one of them is 48.

84 - 48 = 36
So the other card is 36.

In the two cards that give 76, one of them is 48 too.

76 - 48 = 28
So the other card is 28.

Therefore, the three cards are 28 , 36 and 48.

The smallest is 28.
