I'm not sure if you've done algebra by P5, but you can replace the model solution with algebra and some transposition :)

From the start, compare the statements with the same subject. Minus the two statements and the common subjects will be minused away, leaving with the difference of the 2 subjects.
Example: Eng + Math =71
Math + Sci = 75
The subject common here is Math. So 75-71= Sci -Eng (4)
Do the same for the others.
Combine all the differences into a diagram.
Example: Eng + Math =71
