The perimeter of figure A is the same as that of the full rectangle.

Its because the sum of the 2 separated breadths and lengths in figure A is equal to the breadth n length in the original rectangle.

Perimeter = 36cm, Because even after it is cut off, the sides still makes up 9cm. . Shift the sides from Fig. A to make up a straight line and u still get 9cm..
