Notice that both triangles have the same vertical height. You can calculate area of one triangle first. Subtract it from the total.

Then find the length if AB using formula for area of triangle.


Otherwise, just use the formula of area of trapezium.


Area of trapezium = ½(a+b)(h)

a , b are lengths of each of the parallel sides.

h is the height.
