(i) 70 cm Hg = 9 520 000 Pa
(ur ans is correct.)

(ii) 70-55 = 15 cm Hg

(b) draw the level at the same vertical height of 55 cm from surface of mercury.

Reasons:
1. pressure of gas inside Q remains unchanged

2. no leakage of gas from Q
so liquid pressure unchanged

3. vertical height h is dependent on liquid pressure, density of mercury ρ and gravitational field strength g, all of which remain unchanged.
hence, vertical height h remains unchanged at 55 cm.
