you started off correctly.

I'm denoting the square of a quantity as sq.

26 sq = 9x sq + x sq - 6x sq cos(120)

cos 120 = -1/2 so

26 sq = 10x sq + 3x sq

26 sq = 13x sq

x = 2 sqrt(13)
