Why divide by 6?
Let's say the small tank maximum capacity is 90ml. So 2/3 of it would be 60ml.
Now the big tank is 6 times larger than the small tank. So it's 6 X 90ml = 540ML
Now if the 60ml is poured into the big tank. The fraction would be 60/540 = 1/9
Now the big tank is 6 times larger than the small tank. So it's 6 X 90ml = 540ML
Now if the 60ml is poured into the big tank. The fraction would be 60/540 = 1/9
So basically dividing the 2/3 by 6 would be the fastest way to get the answer, if you really understand the method.
