Hi Linda,

Unfortunately that is incorrect if you are trying to figure out the area of the shaded triangle.

To find the shaded area of this triangle(and all triangles to be exact), all you have to do is apply the formula ( 1/2 x Base x Height ). In this case, it would be 1/2 x 6 x 23 = 69cm^2. Hope this helps.

Ignore the measurement that is not part of the triangle. Questions like to trick you some time. Only use the height that form up a right angle but the base must be from the triangle itself
