number of black circles:5
number of white circles:20
total number of circles:25
since the question ask to build the shape in increasing order we must make the fifth shape by making 5 black circles. in order to get white circles we multiply 5 by 4 which is equal to 20. this is equal to no. of black circles for 1,2,3,4 which for black circles you multiply by white circle previous no.

by using squareroot of each total no. of circles we get the figure number which squareroot 289=17. so the black circles is 17 and white circles 289-17=272
