This is for qn 1 and 2.
For 1a, we will have to expand out first then bring the 300 over to show the equation.
For 1b, use ur calculator to solve the quadratic equation, mode 3 3 for casio.
For 1c, take note that u must reject 1c as x cannot be negative.
For 2a, square of x is simply x^2
For 2b, qn says that x^2 is larger than x by 6, which means the difference between x^2 and x is 6, so form the equation then bring the 6 over and u will get the answer.
For 2c, again use calculator to solve the quadratic equation and remember yo reject the negative x value as age cannot be negative.

For qn 2c, the reason why we reject the negative value is because the qn says x is positive and there is no age here, mixed up with qn 3 sorry

For qn 3a, jane is younger than meixia so meixia is older than jane so it is x+3.
For qn 3b, product means x times (x+3) = 340. Again, expand everything out then bring the 340 over.
