Peter: 2 units Tom: 3 units Ken: 7 units

Total: 2 + 3 + 7 = 12 units

If the money is divided equally,
each will get: 12 units ÷ 3 = 4 units

So since Ken has 7 units,
7 units - 4 units = 3 units

Ken has to give up 3 units if they share the money equally.

3 units = $123
1 unit = $123 ÷ 3 = $41

Peter has 2 units at first. So he needs to receive 2 more units from Ken to have 4 units.

2 units = $41 x 2 = $82

Ken has 7 units originally. If all boys equal means 4 units all. For ken to have only 4 units, he has to give up $123. Means 7 - 4 = 3 units. $123 = 3 units. From there we work on. Hope this helps !
