Ben:

given:
■ = 2 x (□□□)

and
■ = □ + 3.50

So 2 x (□□□) = □ + 3.50
□ = 0.70

at first, Ben has 0.70 x 4 = $2.80

Amy has 2(0.70 + 3.50) = $8.40
