Total surface area
= Area of two quadrants (there are two sides) + Area of two rectangle sides
+ curved surface area
Area of two quadrants
= 2 x 1/4 x πr²
= 1/2 x π x (5.6²)
Area of two rectangles = 2 x 5.6 x 8
Curved surface area
= 1/4 x 2πr x length of surface
= 1/4 x 2π x 5.6 x 8
Add these together and you should get
∼209cm²
= Area of two quadrants (there are two sides) + Area of two rectangle sides

Area of two rectangles = 2 x 5.6 x 8
Curved surface area
