Plot the 2 points A, B on a graph paper. Then join the 2 points A & B, find that one point C, which is in the middle of the line you've drawn and has the equal distance of line AC = BC.

Hi Justin and Benjamin, i would like to correct Benjamin who has given you the correct method for finding equidistant only. The question has stated on the y-axis. If a point is on the y-axis, what is the conclusion that you can draw from it?
(If you are unable to draw a conclusion please revise on this chapter more)

A(-4,5) B(7,2) C(0,Cy)

SQRT( (-4-0)^2 + (5-Cy)^2) = SQRT( (7-0)^2 + (2-Cy)^2 )

Hint: Cy is a negative integer.
