Children who remained = 1 - 3/8 = 5/8

Adults who remained = 1 - 4/9 = 5/9

5/8 children + 5/9 adults = 275

So, 1/8 children + 1/9 adults

= 275 ÷ 5 = 55

Multiply by 8.

So 8/8 children (all children) + 8/9 adults
= 55 × 8 = 440

Recall that all children + all adults = 475.

475 - 440 = 35 = 1/9 adults.

From here ,you can now calculate the total number of adults.
