Let number of stickers Bernice had before giving to Ally, be 8 units.

Bernice gave 3/8 of her stickers to Ally
→ gave 3 units.
8 units - 3 units = 5 units.
Bernice has 5 units left.

And she has same number of stickers as Ally in the end. So Ally also has 5 units also.

Ally + Bernice = 5 units + 5 units = 10 units.

10 units = 2760 stickers
1 unit = 2760 ÷ 10 = 276

10 units - 8 units = 2 units
2 units = 276 x 2 = 552 stickers

So Ally had 552 stickers before Bernice gave her stickers.

Since Ally gave 2/3 of her stickers to Bernice, she had 1/3 of her stickers left.

1/3 of stickers = 552 stickers

3/3 = 552 x 3 = 1656 stickers

Ally had 1656 stickers in the beginning.

2760 - 1656 = 1104 stickers.

Bernice had 1104 stickers at first.
