If 2nd piece is 40 cm shorter than 3rd piece → 3rd piece is 40 cm longer than
2nd piece.

Since 1st piece is only 30cm longer than 2nd piece,

This means the 3rd piece is the longest.
Length of 3rd piece = 235 cm

So, length of 2nd piece = 235 cm - 40 cm
= 195 cm

Length of 1st piece = 195 cm + 30 cm
= 225 cm

Length of rope at first = total length of 3 pieces = 225 cm + 195 cm + 235 cm
= 655 cm
