Actually I think you found the area of the unshaded part instead of the shaded part. Take the area of the big circle minus unshaded part to get the answer.

Your answer is correct.

Alternate solution:

After rearranging the shaded parts, you will end up with 4 halves of a square. The sides is 8cm.
So, 8cm × 8cm x 2 = 128cm2
