Distance traveled by Timothy in 4h=216/3x2=144
Timothy's speed=144/4=36km/h

Hi, how do you know that the distance covered from 7.10 to 8.30 is 2u? Thanks
Because when they meet each other, the distance from town p is twice that of town q. Town q to the point they meet is 3u. Therefore town p to the meeting point is 6u. So 7.10 to 8.30 is 2u because from 8.30 to meeting point is 4u.
