To solve this, you need to find the area of the whole square, then find the area of one circle.
Area of square = Length × Length
Area of circle = πr^2
They've mentioned those area equal quadrants, so divide the area of the circle with 4, and multiply by 3 again to get the area of 3 quadrants.
Minus area of square with area of quadrants.

Finding perimeter not area
Even easier. Find the perimeter of a circle, divide by 4. Multiply it by 3, then add the radius of one circle to it.

There is hidden radius in the figure. Should be 4 radii to be considered in the question for answer. For your reference in understanding.
