Consider a data warehouse that holds information on traffic. From our transactional databases, we have access to all metadata information about all the vehicles in traffic, about the route starting points and destinations, as well as about the drivers.

1. Sketch a data warehouse schema.

2. Develop an example hierarchy over dimensions for addresses, for time, for drivers. 3.Give an example for each of the functionalities roll-up, drill-down, slice and dice. (hint: describe a “before” view of the data cube, and an “after” view of the data cube).
