Answer is x=7, x=-1(rej)
Why reject x=-1?

Hi, with the equation you gave me, either the answer is wrong or the equation given is wrong. In this equation, you will definitely get x=7 and x=1. One would only reject x=-1 because it is not part of the solution. You can see this is true if you input the equation in the graphic display calculator
