Total area would be given by A + B + C.

The first thing to recognise is that the one green line divides the quarter circle into 2 parts, with B being twice as large as the other part. B is therefore 2/3 the area of a quarter circle.

C is just B - the triangle.

The second thing to recognise is that the triangle formed by the red and green lines is an equilateral triangle of the exact same size as A.

Therefore the total area

A + B + C = A + B + (B - A) = 2B.

The actual working written on paper would just be as follows:

1/4 * 3.14 * 10 * 10 = 78.5

2/3 * 78.5 = 52 and 1/3

52 and 1/3 * 2 = 104 and 2/3 = 105
