Shouldnt you let 7^y be x? That would be much easier to solve.
Nope. If I let 7^y = x, how shall the student deal with the √x then?
Okay true.. but I think your answer is incorrect you square one side but you didn't square the rest..
What other side? You sub the y i got into the eqn, you’ll find that LHS=RHS.
