May I know the formula how you get the 20u and 15u?
Why 15u? The bar has to be in multiple of 5 and that the remainder of the remainder has to be multiple of of 3. For example if I choose 5u, the remainder is 2u and 3/10 will not be able to be shown clearly on the model. By choosing 15u, the remainder is 6u and 3/10=6/20. Then the total is 20u. Hope this explains.
Do you mean 2/5 is the remainder which is also equal to 3/10 is the remainder of the total? So need to change the denomination to be the same?
Yes. 2/5 of the remainder is the same as 3/10 of the original amount. So find the common multiple for the numerator.
