To make it look simpler, I substituted (h^2 + k^2) into "a", and (m^2 + n^2) into "b".
However, I do get 2 answers for the required equation, which is basically the same number but different sign. Fellow tutors, do check through my workings too and feedback on where I might have gone wrong. I am still trying to check through my workings for errors.
