secondary 4 chevron_right Geography

Hi I know this is on Geography but I really need help. I wrote out the trend on the graphs already but I don't know how to explain the reasons for the difference in meat consumption. Can you please help me? Thank you!

What do you mean? If you need help with the question which is below the graph, you just need to write about both being increasing, China increasing faster than us and the starting and ending points of tg e countries. Remember to quote the data

Similarity: 1) Both show increasing trends overall
Difference: 2) Rate of consumption in China is increasing at a faster rate than US
Similarity: 3) Both have a noticeable decrease in 2007, with China decreasing more.
Difference: 4) China continues to increase from 2007 to 2010, but US steady decline.

Compare = Similarities and differences. state a combination of the two, total 4.

Similarity:
1. Both US and China are experiencing an increase in meat consumption from 1960 to 2012. [quote evidence here]

Differences:
1. China increases its meat consumption at a faster rate than the US [quote evidence from 1975-2012 for both countries, citing the overall increase in percentages]

2. US has a steady decline in meat consumption from 2007 onwards but China still sees a gradual increase.

3. China sees a small dip in meat consumption from 1993-1995 but no significant changes observed in US.

There is no need to explain any changes in values here since the question is 'compare' and not 'account for' or 'explain'. Hope this helps! :)
