Thank you! But why do u reject 1-root(y-5)?
I didn't reject, towards the end, I put a statement saying that same k(x) obtained if 1-√(x-5) is used.

Though this is not a foolproof method for all questions of this type, it is sufficient when you see polynomials only and it is also an A-level question only. For 2 marks worth, try to change all the x into h(x) fast if it is simple enough to see
