Hi! Heres my solution, hopefully you can understand what i'm doing.
Since we do not know how many beads each of them has at first, we just have to leave belinda's model as '?', and alices model divided into 10 parts (so she can give away 3/10 and 7/10 in the two scenarios)
From calculating how many beads is 3/10 of alice's total beads, we can know how many beads Belinda has More than alice BEFORE she gives belinda any, and hence calculating the total number of beads and then the fraction required.
Hope this helps! :)
